Basic Qing / Manchu leather military quiver set with bow holster

This Basic Edition Qing Dynasty, Manchu style Quiver and Bow Holster Set, is our most historically accurate Manchu field set yet! It is an authentic interpretation of a court quiver set from the Qianlong period in terms of shape, construction techniques and practical features.

The quiver:

Features such as the arrow blanket makes for a practical, yet historically accurate design, ideal for foot and mounted archery.

• Full grain, veg tanned, 4mm leather body.
• Includes a universal one-size-fits-all* leather belt with a solid brass Qing style belt hook.  *up 44" waist - please inquire about larger sizes
• Historically accurate suspension straps in leather or cotton braid.
• Heavy pressed wool arrow blanket for holding the arrows.
• Historically accurate arrow blanket tightening straps.
• Solid hardwood base for good balance, covered in leather.
• Three front arrow slits for ready-arrows.
• NOTE: This quiver is designed to be stuffed with dry pine needles as per historical examples. Pine needles are still the best, and most historically accurate stuffing for your quiver to keep your arrows separated, tight, dry and quiet.

Unfortunately, due to international customs restrictions, we don't ship the quivers with pine needles, but we'll send instructions on how to stuff your quiver with real pine needles yourself!

The Bow Holster:

The Bow Holster features a wide gusset so that your bow can sit tight for the horse, or loose for quick access. A practical, yet historically accurate design, ideal for foot and mounted archery.

• Full grain, 2.5mm veg tanned leather.
• Correctly balanced for Manchu bows.
  
• Period-correct mounting points for belt straps.
• Classic hand-closed stitch at the back.
